Objectives

The objectives of the Multi-Country Demobilization and Reintegration Program (MDRP) for the Greater Great Lakes Region of Africa are to:

1. Provide a comprehensive regional framework for efforts in support of the Demobilization and Reintegration (D&R) of former combatants;
2. Establish a consistent mechanism for donor coordination and resource mobilization for D&R activities;
3. Serve as a platform for national consultative processes in the context of D&R programs.
